Artist Profile | Nancy Miller Blechman

blechman1_0With bright splashes of color, artist Nancy Blechman creates beautiful watercolor paintings featuring flowers, still lifes and serene landscapes. Her specialty is floral arrangements which are soft yet bold. Whether it is a wisp of wildflowers or the blossoms of springtime, Nancy’s paintings are full of color, warmth and vitality.

Nancy Miller Blechman was born in Baltimore, Maryland, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Miller. At the age of twelve, she moved with her family to Mt. Vernon, New York.

Mrs. Blechman earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Art from Rutgers University. With an interest in watercolor and acrylics, she studied under Jacob Landau and John Klimo at Rutgers as well as Joanne Augustine in Princeton, New Jersey.

She has had showings at Rutgers University, Abelle Galleries in Princeton, the Mercer County Public Library in Highstown and the Cranberry Festival in Cranberry, New Jersey.

Upon her return to Baltimore, she has had private showings at Stonecroft Couples Club, the Chameleon Restaurant in Westminster, Essex Community College, and Borders book store in Towson, Maryland.
