On May 28, 2008, Judge Louis F. Oberdorfer of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia gave final approval to the settlement of a class action against Allstate Insurance Company.

Tom Minton was co-counsel for the class. Affected policyholders will receive payments of $150, $600, or $1,200, depending how long it took Allstate to process their claims for uninsured motorist benefits.
